Affirmations are easy to use, and they quickly get you into a positive mindstate, one that allows you to stay objective and centred. But one aspect of affirmations keeps coming up when I discuss them with others.
The timing of affirmations is more iportant than your think. Now, I know that you have hardly any freetime, you’re busy being awesome and all that, but using afirmations at least once a day is vital. So you’ve got to fit them in somewhere.
And that ‘somewhere’ is in the morning. There are plenty of reasons why you need to use them in the morning but we will deal with the most obvious one first.
Before your mind is attacked
We tend to take in a lot of information before we start the day. Some days, we have had hundreds of different thoughts before breakfast. It’s incredible, how much we think.
The problem with that is the mind can only soak up so much information before it becomes tired.
And when it’s tired it can’t function at an optimum level.
The best time to use affirmations is in the first few moments of consciousness, before the day hits you.
As soon as you wake up, feed your mind affirmations. You’ll soon see the benefit.
And right at the end…
Similar to the morning time, you need to feed your mind the good stuff just before it powers down.
Before your subconscious takes over and you have no control, give your mind some positives. Affirmations right before you fall asleep are not only powerful, they’re also a very pleasant way to end the day.
Try it. When you wake up and just before you go to sleep. Give it a week and you’ll see a big difference.
