All of those gurus and experts out there on the topic of stress reduction have nothing on me.

It’s simple.

Four techniques.

One minute.

Zero stress.

Let’s begin.

Breathe deeply

Deep breathing is a quick way to reduce stress. Focus on your breath, inhaling deeply through your nose for a count of four, holding for four seconds, and exhaling slowly through your mouth for another count of four. Repeat this process three to five times to lower your heart rate and relax your body.

Did you know?

People with high stress jobs, such as soldiers and police officers, often use box breathing when their bodies are in fight, flight, or freeze mode. This technique is also relevant for anyone interested in recentering themselves or improving their concentration.

Turbo-charged mindfulness

Take a moment to ground yourself. Pause whatever you’re doing and observe your surroundings. Notice the details — colors, textures, sounds. This brief mindfulness exercise shifts your focus away from stressors and anchors you in the present moment, providing a mental reset that helps alleviate anxiety and tension.
